Itinerary
On your arrival in Leh, you will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel. Located at an altitude of 11,500 feet, Leh is a high-desert town surrounded by stunning mountains. Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude and relaxing in the serene environment. Take a gentle walk around the local market or visit Leh Palace to soak in the rich Ladakhi culture. Overnight at hotel.
Today, explore the ancient monasteries of Leh including Shey Palace, once the summer capital of Ladakhβs kings, and Thiksey Monastery, renowned for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Visit Hemis Monastery, famous for its vibrant annual festival, and the beautiful Stok Palace Museum. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
In time transfer to airport to board flight for Nubra Valley. Meet & assist on arrival and transfer to your hotel. The journey to Nubra Valley takes you across the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The valley is known for its sand dunes, double-humped Bactrian camels, and stunning mountain scenery. Spend the afternoon exploring the villages of Diskit and Hunder. Overnight at camp/hotel.
After breakfast, leave Nubra Valley for the mesmerizing Pangong Lake. The route offers breathtaking views as you descend through mountain passes. Pangong Lake is a crystal-clear, high-altitude lake stretching from India to Tibet and known for its shifting colors throughout the day. Spend the evening by the lake, taking in the tranquil surroundings. Overnight at camp.
Early morning departure for Tso Moriri, the lesser-known but equally stunning high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and nomadic villages. The drive is scenic and adventurous, passing through Changthang plateau. On arrival, settle into your camp and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the lake. Overnight at camp.
After breakfast, leave Tso Moriri for the return drive to Leh. Enjoy the changing landscapes on your way back and make stops at local villages and viewpoints. On arrival in Leh, check into your hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel.
Spend the day visiting Alchi Monastery, known for its ancient wall paintings and statues, and Likir Monastery, famous for its gigantic Buddha statue. These monasteries offer a glimpse into Ladakhβs rich Buddhist heritage set against dramatic mountain backdrops. Return to Leh for overnight stay.
Today is at leisure for you to explore Leh at your own pace. You may choose to visit local markets, take a short trek, or simply relax and soak in the Himalayan atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.
Later you will be transfer to the airport to leave for onward destination.
